Apparently I’m just going to post a new festival everyday. (Awesome!!)
Todays’ news is from Washington D.C. The Alexandria Film Festival
Friday, November 5
7:00pm
AMC Hoffman Center 22
It’s on my dad’s birthday! I’m kinda tempted to lift my no-travel-money-saving plan. Maybe I’ll give it a few weeks and see if I save up anything extra. I’m moving at the end of the year and we will need a bunch of stuff. Like a couch. And really all furniture not in the bedroom.
Sadly I won’t be joining my fellow cast and crew in Illinois, but I’m sure it will be a wonderful magical night for everybody. I think they have some dancers performing and a big party planned. Lots of fun stuff tonight. I miss my LL family!
Here’s a write up for the festival this weekend on C-U Confidential.
Smile Politely, an online magazine about arts and culture in Champaign-Urbana, recently interviewed some of the key filmmakers from Leading Ladies. The film has 3 screenings at the King’s Head Film Festival there this weekend. I won’t be there, but I’m really happy it’s playing there so all the people that helped us can see it. Whenever I read about the making-of it makes me want to watch it again. Hopefully we’ll get it back on the west coast soon. I won’t be going to the Seattle festival because i’m saving up money to move later this year and want to have things like living room furniture. 🙂
I am all over the Gay film festival circuit this year!
The short film Follower I did last year will be screening at the Shout LGBT film festival in Birmingham, AL next week and at Image Nation, the Montreal International LGBT Film Festival in November.
Looks like we’re a centerpiece screening at the Out on Film festival in Atlanta. And another international screening- Italy! Soggettiva Film Festival in November.
Tonight I was about an hour late for a pickup shoot for The Night Caller. It was ok though since they had some inserts to do in the meantime. I was at an audition that was running behind, but I wanted to audition, so I stuck around over an hour.
They just needed some close ups for inserts. So half of them were just my hands and then we did a bit of quick dialog so they have some extra options. Easy peasy.
