Russell and Susan added an imdb page today for Life Between Interviews. Hooray! I will hopefully get a copy in January I think. Last I heard they were getting it sent to the printer.

On a related note, this week my 'star rating' went from 436,812 to 83,032. I don't really know how they calculate that, but that jump seems a little ridiculous. Oh well. I'm sure in a week's time I'll be somewhere in the 200,000 range, and so on.

Today I shot a quick indie short for a pair of young filmmakers. It was just 2 other actors so it went really fast. Lots o' blood. Hopefully the bed wasn't stained! Sounds like I'll be doing another short for them next month or so.

I put together a cute little 1 minute montage of various characters I've played. I figured it was an efficient way for me to show my diverse range. It's set to a kicky little Paul Simon tune. Tra la!

I added 4 credits and changed the name of The Absent Journalist to its new name, Life Between Interviews.

I will have another shoot for a day next week. Busy month! Hopefully it will keep up in the new year.

What a week! But i already went into that. Now i must talk about the shoot! It was a delight. Everyone was so great. The director/co-writer is a Japanese guy in his senior year at Chapman University and this is his thesis. He was awesome. He knew what he wanted and also trusted us to do our jobs well. He found lots of talented people to work on it. The 1st AD was totally on top of things. That's gotta be one of the toughest jobs on set. Keeping everyone on task, on time. The DP all the gaffers, hair, wardrobe, makeup, etc. Everyone was friendly and worked well together and made the set a fun place, but still got the job done. It was such a great experience- and not just because I got to have awesome 1950's hair. The other actor was talented and I felt like we had really good chemistry. I can tell already that everything will look beautiful. It's shot on B&W 35mm.
I can't wait to see it, but it won't be done until at least April. In the meantime here are some shots the director took on set (turned B&W for effect).

Whew! I made it through the busiest week I've had in a while. I figured if I could make it through then I can keep on going for this whole acting thing while still managing my regular job.

So it went like this:

Sunday -
12:30 - Audition
1:30-3 ish - shoot for a holiday video for Funbox comedy
__ - find out I had to rebuild 6 weeks worth of graphics in only 2 weeks for regular job.
__- panic a bit.... then get to work
6:00-midnight - shoot for Sauce on the Side webisode

Monday -
Midnight-4am - work like a fiend!
4-9ish - sleep
9-1:30 - work, less frenzied.
1:30 - leave for photo shoot and rehearsal for indie short
2:30 ish - find out others are stuck in traffic for at least an hour, reschedule...
3:30-8ish - work
9-1AM - Shoot for Sauce on the Side webisode

Tuesday -
8-4ish - Shoot for Price of Progress (work on laptop between set-ups)
7-2:30AM - work until I got a migraine and lost too much vision to continue work. yay stress!

Wednesday -
6AM - drive b.f. to airport. (go back to sleep.)
10-1:30 work
2:30-8:30 Shoot for Price of Progress (work on laptop between set-ups)
9-1AM work

sleep!

Thursday -
normal work day! at the office even! plus a little at home that night.

Friday -
9AM-9PM - Shoot for Price of Progress
9-1AM - finish the rest of the work of the highest priority!

Saturday -
8-9:30 - Photo shoot and rehearsal for indie short.
1-9:30 - Shoot for Price of Progress

Done!! Woo!

I managed to have my cake and eat it too. I had actually requested and been approved for vacation days for the shoot, but there was no way I could actually take them with the last minute changes they needed. It wasn't too bad, it was just sort of exhausting. Luckily everything seemed to be fine with what I sent to my colleagues.

So yeah, I made it through. I can do this.

Paul sent out some pictures from the shoot a few months ago. It's going to be delightful. Here is a pic of me spritzing the salad people (or from when we were positioning for the shot. not sure if that's the same angle.). Then a pic of the salad people!
